This Legal Notice identifies the business operating www.hooksandchainsbysg.com (the "Site") and serves as the legally-required disclosure under applicable laws including, where relevant, § 5 of the German Telemediengesetz (TMG) and Article 14 of EU Regulation 524/2013 on online dispute resolution. Hooks & Chains by SG is a small handmade business and operates as a sole proprietorship. We do not currently have an EIN, VAT ID, commercial register entry, or trade-association regulator to list. Hooks & Chains by SG designs and sells digital, instant-download crochet patterns and reference materials in PDF format. We do not ship physical goods. The Site is hosted by Shopify Inc. Orders are processed by Shopify Payments and other PCI-compliant payment processors enabled at checkout (such as Shop Pay, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay).

3. Responsibility for content

Sami G., the owner of Hooks & Chains by SG, is responsible under applicable law (including § 18 (2) MStV where it applies) for the editorial content of the Site, including product listings, blog posts, the Shop My Supplies hub, the policy pages, and all marketing communications sent from the shop. We make reasonable efforts to keep content accurate and up-to-date but make no warranty of accuracy beyond what applicable consumer-protection law requires.

4. Intellectual property notice

The Site, all crochet patterns sold on it, and all related photography, illustrations, layouts, and marketing copy are the original work of Sami G. and are protected under the copyright laws of the United States (17 U.S.C. § 101 et seq.) and international treaties to which the United States is a party. The "Hooks & Chains by SG" name and stylized logo are unregistered trademarks of Sami G. used in commerce.

Pattern buyers receive a limited personal-use license under the terms set out in our Terms of Service. Buyers may sell finished items hand-made from a purchased pattern in limited handmade quantities; the pattern files themselves may not be reproduced, redistributed, shared, or resold in any form.

To report suspected copyright infringement of our patterns or to send a DMCA takedown notice, email hooksandchainsjd@gmail.com with subject line "DMCA Notice" and include the standard six elements required under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3).

5. Affiliate-marketing disclosure (FTC)

Hooks & Chains by SG may decide to participate in affiliate marketing programs with third-party retailers including Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, LoveCrafts, Lion Brand Yarn, Furls Crochet, Canva, and others.
